The epitome of authentic Absinthe: Like Maison, ALANDIA Absinthe Époque was developed in cooperation with the international known Absinthe connaisseur "deep forest". The task for this Absinthe was to create a complex but balanced Absinthe, smooth, without any bitterness, enhanced by the herbal touch of calamus, resulting in the typical French Absinthe impression. The result is here! We are proud to present it to all Absinthe connoisseurs around the world.

Belle Époque "the beautiful era" signifies a period in Europe's history that began during the late 19th century and lasted until 1914. It is considered the golden time of beauty, peace and entertainment. Cabaret, the famous cancan, and cinema were born and often enjoyed with a glass of Absinthe. In reference to this fabled era, Absinthe Époque is distilled after a classic composition of 12 herbs, including wormwood, green anise, fennel and calamus, reflecting the authenticity of the Absinthe heritage.

We recommend preparing Absinthe Époque after the classic French Ritual, using one part Absinthe, three parts cold water and one sugar cube.

Absinthe Review: Absinthe ALANDIA Époque

Delicious! Very clear yellow-green elixer before water. Steady, thick, warm green louche. Thick mouth. Bursts with herbal-candy bouquet while louching. Very minty, alpine palate. FRESH. No alcohol or phenolic flavors. Relatively light anise. No pepper ... little spice. Soft herbal; more pine and mint. Somewhat sweet (candied) flavor. Clean finish.

After removing the cork how does one store this absinth? Answer from ALANDIA: Store it corked in a dark place (no direct sunlight). Absinthe should never be put into a refrigerator by the way.

On the quality of the absinthe itself.. I agree with everyone here. Excellent taste.. and for the Fairy hunters out there, this one's got a nice kick to it. But I'll disagree about the cork.. the only reason mine broke, was because I didn't center the corkscrew. Even then, it was only a slight crack on the side of it. I think Alandia listened to the reviews and made it better. Thanks again Alandia.

Exceptional!! I opened a bottle of this with an old friend, and was delighted! First, I have to agree on the cork...synthetics would be far better. The cork in my bottle was overly dry and crumbled at the touch of a corkscrew. But, one the cork was out (or rather, in)we were in for a treat. There was definitely a pungent aroma, but not overpowering, and rather pleasant to me, as I am partial to anise. We mixed with one sugar cube, carmalized, and slowly added 3 parts cold water. The louche was impressive, especially for my friend, as this was her first experience with absinthe. The taste was very clean and light in the mouth, herbal with almost a minty after note. Very easy to drink. All in all, a wonderful experience that I shall most assuredly repeat!

This has a good and smooth taste, and a nice louche, but I found its odeur disgusting. Of course this is easily avoided by not breating trough your nose and putting the glass to your mouth at the same time.
