The historical and contemporary Absinthe culture is deeply rooted in the French Republic (République française). Being created in the year 1792, Absinthe popularity grew steadily throughout the 19th century, especially in the French metropolitan areas. Reminisce of the golden era, Absinthe République is produced in Fougerolles France, where Absinthe was distilled in the times of van Gogh and Baudelaire. The recipe is primarily based on a traditional herbal composition, including green anise, fennel and of course wormwood. The special note is achieved through some extraordinary ingredients like gentian and thistle. To give Absinthe République its premium quality and extra fine taste it is three times distilled.

High quality drink. Significant flavour. Luminous louche. Good vibes.

I really like this one! It is one of the smoothest, mildest, yet potent absinthes I have had. It has a very refined flavor, that at once is delicious and at the same time goes down like water. At 136 proof it's quite strong, but at the same time I can't detect even a hint of alcohol. This is one I'd love to drink sitting out by the pool in the Arizona sun. Experienced absintheurs will, I think, aprpeciate, the fineness of this and newbies will not be put off by a strong flavor, as I find is often the case. Damn, I just opened the bottle and it's so good it's almost gone. Way to go Alandia!!

I had a glass of absinthe république yesterday. Normally I drink Strong68 and bought this one to experience how a white absinthe tastes like. This one has a refrshing taste. no bitterness at all, totally different to Strong 68. i like it a lot. I read in the net that this absinthe is as well sold under the name coeur d´absinthe, is there a difference between republique and coeur d´absinthe..?
