This Absinthe is based on a recipe from 1889. It has a dark green color, the taste is flowerish with significant notes of green anise and hints of vanilla. It is distilled with wine alcohol, what gives this Absinthe a brandy like smell. Overall a pretty good French Absinthe.

Nostalgic, Inspirational, and above all great tasting and a desire to say it is mine. This is just the very few words to describe this Absinthe. If you are a Absinthe enthusiast and are prepared to pay good money for a good product than I recommend this brand. The layout of the bottle is what has been advertised on Alandia, it is by far one of the best designs I have come across in terms of the different genres of Absinthe on the market. However, Great louche like a perfect absinthe should have, changing from a brownish green to a smoky white, which was very impressive and pleasing to watch. The aroma is magnificent and very potent it will stay in your surroundings for a while but when it does this just makes the whole absinthe experience worth while believe me. Five stars for brilliants!! And another treasure for me to admire. So buy it.......
