The Cthulhu Myth

The Cthulhu myth includes the persons, places, entities and stories invented by the American writer H. P. Lovecraft (* 20. August 1890; † 15. March 1937) other authors of horror literature. The most famous part of this myth is the also fictional book Necronomicon, in which the interstellar entities with supernatural powers are described in detail. These beings are referred to by Lovecraft as the "Old Ones" or the "Great Old Ones." They come from distant parts of the galaxy or even the universe and are not subject to any laws of nature known to us. By human standards, they possess godlike power and appear to be immortal.

Spicy and different Review by Dominik
Rating
I tried this absinthe because it promised to be different. Indeed, it is. I like the cardamom notes, sweet and tart at the same time. It’s natural green color and its mystical label are also worth to mention. If you are looking for something non-standard get yourself a bottle! Cheers! (Posted on 9/29/2022)
Spicy, non-traditional delight Review by Matthew

Appearance:
Before water - Olive green and ginger. Once down to the bottom of the bottle there is quite a bit of sediment making it cloudy
After water - Different things in different light. Looking down through the top at an angle in natural light, it's a creamy, mint green with blue-white edges. Looking at the glass straight on in natural light it can go from cardamom pod green and milk, to cinnamon and milk like horchata. I'm using a bubble glass and what's in the bubble is a milky seafoam green. It's very interesting to look at. There is some red opalescence around the edges as you move it around as well
Aroma:
Before water - Cardamom, cinnamon, anise, ¿clove?
After water - Badam kheer (Indian rice pudding dessert), cardamom, cinnamon, anise/fennel
Louche:
Layers thick and beautifully. At the end of the bottle however, the sediment seems to slow the louche down and thickens it even more, but makes it less interesting to watch
Taste:
Spicy Cardamom, cinnamon, kheer. The cardamom and wormwood pair very well together and there's a nice bitterness. All these spicy flavors overpower the anise, so if you're not a huge fan of anise, this may be one to try. The anise does lend a lovely sweetness that ties this all together. There's a very faint fruitiness to this absinthe as well.
Finish:
The cardamom dissipates quick, there's a rush of wormwood, then you're left with anise and some lovely fennel
Overall:
The way this absinthe deviates from traditional absinthe, is everything I love about it. This isn't an absinthe for everyone. I'd say it's one for true enthusiasts. It checks all the boxes, i.e. has wormwood, anise, and fennel, is naturally colored, and has had no sugar added prior to bottling, but isn't like any traditional absinthe on the market, and it will make those that don't like anise, quite happy.
