Absinthe Cthulhu Blanche

Absinthe Cthulhu Blanche is a German Absinthe from the SaarWhisky Distillery. Its name is a tribute to the fantasy epic of H.P. Cthulhu Absinthe contains traditional ingredients of Absinthe, such as two different varieties of wormwood, fennel and anise. In addition, unusual, oriental herbs, such as cardamom and coriander complement its exceptionally sweet-tart flavor profile. Cthulhu Blanche is not colored with herbs, therefore it is crystal clear and louches to an innocent white color when water is added.

The Cthulhu myth

The Cthulhu myth includes the persons, places, entities and stories invented by the American writer H. P. Lovecraft (* 20. August 1890; † 15. March 1937) other authors of horror literature. The most famous part of this myth is the also fictional book Necronomicon, in which the interstellar entities with supernatural powers are described in detail. These beings are referred to by Lovecraft as the "Old Ones" or the "Great Old Ones." They come from distant parts of the galaxy or even the universe and are not subject to any laws of nature known to us. By human standards, they possess godlike power and appear to be immortal.
