Absinthe Dripper Balancier

The Absinthe Dripper Balancier made by ALANDIA Barware is a reproduction of the historical Absinthe Brouilleur Auto Verseurs formerly made for the Absinthe brand Oxygénée Cusenier. Its design is inspired by the original, but the functionality was improved. The Brouilleur is made of oxidized stainless steel. This gives it a robust quality and a mystical black look. The inside of the cup is untreated, which means that you have a silver contrast and see the material in its original color. The little see-saw lever is made of stainless steel, as well, therefore your Balancier will never rust. 

The ritual with this unique Absinthe accessory works like this: Pour a dose of Absinthe into an Absinthe glass (about 1 oz / 30 ml). Then place the balancier on the rim of the glass. Add ice and water to the inside of the reservoir. Once the water begins to flow through the small hole at the bottom of the reservoir, it will stream onto the lever. In a see-saw motion the water now falls into the glass of Absinthe with a tik-tok sound. Remove the balancier and enjoy your glass of Absinthe!

All Absinthes should be prepared to personal taste. We recommend a ratio of 1:3 Absinthe to water. If you wish, you can also place an Absinthe spoon with a sugar cube under lever of the balancier.

Absinthe Dripper Balancier: The best louche

The secret of a good louche is firstly a quality Absinthe with lots of essential oils, plus ice-cold water, and a slow speed of adding water to the Absinthe.  Fountains, brouilleurs and Absinthe drippers like the Balancier help to create a perfect louche, as with the help of these accessories Absinthe and water mix slowly.

INFO: If the see-saw no longer runs smoothly and the water flow stops, put some oil, e.g. olive oil, on the axis of the rocker. This will reduce the friction and the see-saw will run smoothly again.
