Multiple James Beard Award winner Dale De Groff is the author of the renowned works “The Craft of the Cocktail” and “The Essential Cocktail” (Random House). As a bartender, he developed his exceptional skills and techniques in renowned bars, including the legendary Rainbow Room in New York, where he began to rediscover and reinterpret classic cocktails in the 1980s - a pivotal moment that triggered a cocktail boom that influenced the entire industry. Today, he is a partner at Beverage Alcohol Resource (BAR), where he offers training courses on spirits and mixology. He is also the founding president of the Museum of the American Cocktail in New Orleans.
