Description
Absinthe Bourgeois is a green Absinthe from France. It has a lower alcohol level of 55% and a very delicious wormwood note. Absinthe Bourgeios was a vintage French Absinthe brand: The Mourgue brothers designed the famous Absinthe loving cat poster for Absinthe Bourgeios, a mid-sized Pontarlier Absinthe producer. It was a direct response to Charles Maire's ubiquitous still life for Absinthe Pernod Fils, re-using all the key elements: the table, the glass, the carafe, the bottle, and above all the Pontarlier newspaper.
The traditional way of serving Absinthe:
In the following video you can see how you prepare Absinthe the traditional French way. You need an Absinthe glass, an Absinthe spoon, sugar cubes and ice cold water for this ritual. This is how it works: You place the Absinthe spoon on the rim of the glass, put a sugar cube on top and slowly add water. The Absinthe in the glass blends with water and magically louches from green to an opalescent white color. Santé, your sugared Absinthe is prepared!

- Spring time Review by Kimberly
All I can say is that this is an amazing absinthe. the taste is so clean and fresh. Color is a light moss green, which turns milky white/jade with water. The smell is light and floral. Fennel anise springtime. I will order this again, and again. If you want a great absinthe this is the one to try. (Posted on 12/16/2022)Rating
