Brandy Coeur de Jade

Coeur de Jade is a French Brandy from the Combier distillery. Besides being sold individually, this spirit is as well used as the base spirit for the Jade Absinthes (instead of neutral grain spirit). Coeur de Jade is one of the reasons why Jade Absinthes have such an acquired taste. It is the resulting product of several years of development to find the perfect base spirit for a true to history Absinthe. Jade has decided to offer this fragrant Brandy as well separately, following many requests to do so by those fortunate enough to visit the distillery and sample the spirit.

In contrast to most commercial wine spirits distilled from modern, efficient columns, Coeur de Jade is much richer in flavor, retaining artifacts of the original fruit, without bitter or vegetal off-flavors. Those who enjoy Brandy and Grappas will appreciate Coeur de Jade on its own, while bar chefs will find Coeur de Jade as a more flavorful alternative to Vodka as a base for creative cocktails. Coeur du Jade is clear, as it does not age in barrels like for example a Cognac.

The Combier Distillery

The Combier distillery was founded in 1834 and is located in the beautiful Loire Valley in France. In the following video you can see the old stills which are still used for production. They guarantee a maximum level of authenticity for the Combier spirits. The distillation facilities were constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel.
