Absinthe Set Fourtifier

The Fourtifier Absinthe set contains two bottles each of our bestsellers Absinthe Strong68 and Gold68. The set is a good bar set up for parties. Both Absinthes have an increased wormwood content and are therefore slightly bitter. With their 68% alcohol, they are the best souvenir for every party. Strong68 is the classic part in this Absinthe set, because it is distilled with the traditional Absinthe ingredients anise and fennel. This also gives it the typical fresh herbal taste. Gold68, on the other hand, is anise-free. Instead of being licorice in taste, it has a slightly lemony note, since orange and lemon extracts are part of its recipe.

Drinking recommendations for Absinthes in the set

We recommend you to prepare Absinthe Strong68 after the classic drinking ritual. This means add 1 part Absinthe to the glass and fill it up with 3 parts ice-cold water. Add a sugar cube, if you like. Further down on the page, you can watch a video of the classic drinking ritual. 

Absinthe Gold68 should be drunk with at least two sugar cubes. Since the focus of this Absinthe is on wormwood, it is also clearly to be tasted. Furthermore, the bitter taste of the wormwood is not masked by sweet herbs like fennel or anise like Strong68. Skipping these herbs is the reason for the non-licorice taste of this Absinthe. Therefore, the louche of Gold68 is also very weak, because it is normally caused by the essential oils of anise and fennel. To make it more precise: Gold68 is wormwood in a square, you can taste it without masquerades. Since Gold68 Absinthe does not contain anise, it can also be used for cocktails/long drinks. E.g. Absinthe Gold68 mixed with Ginger Ale, Tonic Water or Red Bull, garnished with a slice of lemon or orange, depending on preference. You will see, these drinks are damn good.
