Absinthe Artemis

Absinthe Artemis is a German Absinthe distilled by master distiller and Absinthe lover Marco Martinato. High-quality spirits, including an excellent Gin, have been his passion for many years. Now he has distilled his first Absinthe. For this, he uses homegrown wormwood and the classic ingredients anise and fennel, together with other aromatic herbs. For flavor finishing and coloring, the Absinthe is refined with coloring herbs after distillation. The wormwood species Artemisia absinthium, Artemisia pontica and Artemisia abrotanum, which belong to the plant species Artemisia, all highly aromatic medicinal plants, are taste-defining and have also inspired the naming of this Absinthe.

The name: Absinthe Artemis

Artemis is the goddess of hunting, virginity, the forest and the moon in Greek mythology. Her most famous attributes are the bow and arrow, which were given to her by the Cyclopes. Among the plants, the wormwood herb is sacred to her. Thus, the name Artemis builds the bridge between the distillery's wooded home at the foot of the Harz Mountains and the divine Absinthe that first dripped from the distillation column as "Absinthe Artemis" in 2023.
