Care Instructions for your Moscow Mule Copper Mug:

We have compiled a few care instructions for you to keep your new copper mug in perfect condition: Always rinse the copper mug by hand, i.e. do not wash them in the dishwasher. The cleaning salts of the dishwasher are very aggressive and can harm the copper plating. After washing by hand you should always dry the copper mug well, because copper is a "living" metal and can oxidize. Our cups are specially alloyed from the outside so that no oxidation takes place here. However, they are not coated from the inside (food safety). I.e. here the cup can take on a somewhat darker color over time. This is a completely natural process and does not represent a lack of quality. However, if you always dry the cup nicely, you will effectively delay the oxidation.

If the mug tarnishes over time, you can clean the copper mug with some copper cleaning agent. Alternatively, you can also use a self-made paste of vinegar + salt to gently rub the mug and clean it. If all this is too complicated for you, we recommend you to buy our copper mugs with stainless steel inside. They are particularly easy to clean, as they cannot tarnish due to the absence of copper plating on the inside. In addition, the color contrast between copper and silver stainless steel looks quite sharp.

Moscow Mule, the perfect drink for the copper mug:

A Moscow Mule is a refreshing drink that you can enjoy all year long: Fill the copper mug with ice, add 2 ounces of Vodka (or Gin form a Gin Mule), half an ounce of lime juice and top it with ginger beer and a sprig of mint. The copper mug becomes chilly to the touch when filled with the iced beverage, which is an awesome haptic experience!
