Absinthe Review: Absinthe Nostalgie

I've always been a fan of the La Bleues and I'd have to disagree slightly with the description. To me, anyhow, this is a small step above your "typical La Bleue". It is a bit richer and more full bodied and has a very thick louche that starts immediately. Add to this a nice creamy mouth feel and it's a winner. What they didn't say in the ad is that this is also a limited editon bottle (only 500). Whether you're looking to try a top notch La Bleue or want a collectable bottle, this is a good one. When I can afford it I'll be getting another one to set aside and keep as a collectable.

Absinthe Kubler 53

Some US Absintheurs might know Absinthe Kubler from their local liquor store. Kubler was one of the first Absinthes that could be bought after Absinthe legalisation in 2007. But this one is not the modified US version, it is the Swiss original.
