Absinthe Francois Guy is the three times winner of the Golden Absinthe Spoon: In the year 2002, 2003 and 2004 this Absinthe won the medal for the best French Absinthe at the Absinthiades, the annual Absinthe Fair which takes place in Pontarlier. Francois Guy convinces with a fresh and delicious bouquet. Traditionally no additives are added, and the orchestra Francois Guy composes plays like in the Belle Epoque, a symphony of flavor and stimulation. Smell an opened bottle, and you can practically taste the intense flavor of genuine French wormwood. The 0.5 litter bottle, which is also available in our shop, and the 1 liter bottle contain the same Absinthe, just the label and bottle is different.

A nice enough absinthe. Not very green, as far as verts go, but it has a nice smell and a lovely taste (it almost has something of a vanilla aftertaste lingering around the edges). It lacks the depth and feeling of some of the more complex absinthes, though, and is no comparison to the Roquette 1797, for example. Also, for the size/price value, I think the Kübler 53 packs a better punch. Two glasses and I'm seeing stars, vis a vis this which i can drink like water all night... Overall a nice drink for a hot night, but nothing to write home about as far as absinthes go.

Hi all, Here's another review from the island man under the Coconut tree. This Absinthe is classic. It's alcohol displacement is perfect at 45% and the louche magically turns to it's celebrated but slightly darkened white. The aroma is fresh and is flowery and somewhat feminine. The herbs are of high quality and effective in it's manufacture.Beautiful.Certainly one must recognise this distillation as one of the top 5 high quality Absinthes from France.I say so. For me,this Absinthe NEEDS NO SUGAR. 1 or 2 ounces of Absinthe into 3 parts cold filtered water.Ice cubes if so desired. In summary I give this 5/5 !

This was a excellent absinthe. Aroma was a bit weak from what i would like it to be, Louche was excellent white and milky, and the taste was delightfull no complaints here. good for first time exsperience. I would bye this one again (if ther were ever out of my beloved "Absinthe Montmartre"). It is compariable to "Absinthe Verte de Fougerolles".

It took me three times to try it before I gained a true appreciation of this absinthe. This may have been due to the other absinthes that I had immediately prior to pouring the first two glasses, because on the third try it was superb! There were a few days inbetween each of the tastings. The aroma out of the bottle is great! The louche is perfect and the flavors only improve from there. Although it doesn't have much of the fairy action, I think that this is a good afternoon drink. I would recommend this as a necessary addition to any absithe collection!
