I still can't believe how smooth this whole transaction went. My package made it to the states in a week and everything I ordered was unharmed. No hassle whatsoever. As for the absinthe. . . Wow! This was my first time trying it and the Strong68 completely surpassed my expectations, (effect and taste). I will most definately order from Alandia again... And again, and again, and again. Thank you.

Not at all what I expected, but has me coming back for more! Being this was the first time getting my feet wet with absinthe, I spent a good deal of time researching on the internet the in's and out's of drinking this wonderfull beverage. I wanted to make sure it was safe, and something I would enjoy. Once I decided to try it, I checked out a few different places to order it, and found the price to be a little daunting for an unknown substance. I settled on alandia for having the widest variety and price range. I figured if I was going to pay the shipping cost, I would get get more than one bottle to try. The Foutifier set seemed like the best jumping off point. After placing my order, I was more excited than ever to try the fairy, and did more and more research on the net, this time armed with a brand name. I became very discouraged after reading a "real" absinthe drinkers website where it was suggested the only thing to do with the gold 68 or stong 68 was use to clear out the drains in your sink. I thought I had made a terrible mistake and wasted the money on this first try. I became more optimistic when the order arrived in under ten days with a few bonus products included. I play pool for the american pool players association and had to rush out shortly after my order arrived. Couldnt leave without at least tasting it. Following the true ritual, I poured a small glass (less one ounce) of the strong69 and slowly dripped chilled water over a few sugar cubes. The initial aroma was very inticing. The first sip was a shock to my tastebuds. it was not all what I expected, and a far cry from something I woudl pour down the drain. The flavor as expected had a strong anise taste, and noticible though not at all unpleasant bitter aftertaste. I knew right away this was somethign I could site out on the patio with nice cuban cigar and unwind with. I finished off my glass and headed for my pool game. by the time I reached my destination, there was a noticible effect from the drink. The anise left a lasting taste in my mouth, my tongue felt slightyly thick, and there was a pleasant generally warm fuzzy effect. Since then, I have finished both bottles of the gold , and have but 1/2 a bottle of the strong left. I would be hard pressed to say which one I enjoy more, but I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to a taste of something exoctic that still has a warm comfort drink feeling. I will certainly order this again as well as branching out to try some of the other products that Alandia has to offer. Thank you for the great first taste! A very satisfied customer. ps. I would hower caution against having more than 2-3 glasses immediately before bed, unless you are up for some very vivid and often disturbing dreams :)

Let me start this Evaluation off with congratulations to the alandia team. I have ordered twice now with alandia, and every time I ordered I have received my package in around 6 days. I ordered the Fourtifier Set on the 12 of Dec-2006. I received my package 7 days later on the Friday before, Christmas weekend. I tore into my package like a kid opening Christmas presents on Christmas day. I just wanted to have a little taste of the Gold 68. (I have never had anise free absinthe) Bam it was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. It had a very pleasant citrus flavor and a nice orange undertone, it was better then any review I had read. Now I have had a couple of different absinthes before, but I had never tried the Strong 68. Because my courusity was getting the better of me, I found myself opening the next bottle, to try a shot of the strong. I would have to say it was better then of all the absinthes I have drank to date. I just love that flavor of anise!!! After feeling that nice warm burn down my throat and a wonderful glow of relaxation around me, I realized why I do not drink absinthe at work. Based on Appearance, Taste, Delivery, Cost, and Ease I would have to give the Fourtifier Set and Alandia a 5 Star Rating!!! Shea
