Absinthe Gold68 uses maximum wormwood for the strongest thujon concentration, but skips anise to avoid a dominating licorice taste. Nevertheless Gold68 slightly louches when water is added, due to a well dosed fennel content. Furthermore stimulating citrus notes are present, which give this naturally bitter Absinthe a pleasant body. If you are looking for the perfect, non-licorice Absinthe effect, Gold68 should be your choice. No artificial additives are used and the alcohol level is set at a classic 68%. Therefore, Gold68 is suitable for the Czech and the French Absinthe ritual. See for yourself; sip some glasses and the moment turns into truth: In Absinthio Veritas...

If you like Strong68, but want an Absinthe with less licorice, Gold68 is the perfect Absinthe for you!

Important Note: We recommend to drink Absinthe Gold68 with at least two sugar cubes. You will see, the wormwood content of this Absinthe makes it bitter and this bitterness is not masked by sweet tasting herbs like anise as Gold68 skips this ingredient to create a non-licorice taste. The louche is also very light, as the louche is normally created by the essential oils of anise. To make it precise, Gold68 is not for the Absintheur, who is looking for a very complex Absinthe. Gold68 is straight forward: Wormwood is what its recipe is primarily about and therefore wormwood is what you will taste and feel! As this Absinthe is anisefree you can also use it for mix drinks, for example Gold68 mixed with Ginger Ale or Tonic Water and a slice of lemon or orange, depending on your preferences.

Absinthe Review: Absinthe ALANDIA Gold68

Absintheur: Dennis McCormac 18.06.2015

Shipped to the U.S. amazingly fast! Besides a few glasses in Barcelona this is my first serious tasting of absinthe. This is a beautiful product, I am not a big consumer of alcohol, but I love the classic taste of absinthe. The smell is pungent but after a few sips it is mellow and sublime. Thanks Alandia!

I always try to buy this one and it\'s always sold out which says a lot about this absinthe! Luckily, it came in a set with 2 bottles of strong 68 and 2 of these for a great price so I was happy! Wonderful and yes, I see why everyone buys this one! I can\'t seem to wrap my head around why people complain about \"too much anise or licorice taste\" that is what absinthe tastes like! Anise is a key ingredient, one of the original ones as a matter of fact. Stick to beer so the absinthe drinkers can keep our absinthe in stock...;-) Great value, taste and shipping came in two days flat! (Really dig the cd too!) Thank you Alandia.

I couldn\'t even finish the first glass of this I made. My wife, who hates anise, couldn\'t stand it either. Then I discovered the secret. Grape soda; this stuff hides quiet nicely when mixed at 2 or 3 to 1. The effect is undeniable. The only reason I give it only 3 stars is because I don\'t buy absinthe to hide the taste in order to catch a buzz. To me, the fairy is the icing on the cake, but I do like my cake too.

3 shots in i peek my head outside for a breath of air, icy and full of winter just to see the world in a more lucid sense ,all primary colors swell before me and my love for a world that could be? more evident .I feel good and cant believe a drink can amplify such good effects, I\'ve only a half bottle left and i feel like i want to keep it very safe . This is the second time I\'ve ever had absinthe and gold 68 was bought with the idea of no aniseed because of the people that would drink it with ,this device the amazing liquid all i feel is i need more, his has got something no other drink has, i have found my drink of choice and going back to normal spirits will be hard and very boring. The drink in a format of 1 shot absinthe 3 shots water 2 sugar cubes, is fine not bitter but very interesting i tried ginger ale raspberry and apple lovely but i returned to gold 68 .Thank you Alandia for this privilege ! I cant wait to try more and see what art happens with this muse . One last thing maybe go easy on the first try hangover is brutal.

Ok...this is my very First Absinthe. I do not like Nyquil or Anise nor Licorice. So..this is the reason I chose the Gold68. I don\'t know what everyone is complaining about..it is NOT bitter at ALL. I put 2 sugar cubes on the slotted spoon as directed and poured water in the large goblet..it still had a little anise taste but not bad. It was so good I had a second glass! Funny.. I don\'t even drink beer and I live in the Pacific Northwest, Oregon to be specific! WOW.. I am on my second glass and it\'s 2oclock in the afternoon! LOL! I am SO happy! Haa-haa! I KNOW I should have ordered 3 bottles instead of 1, but based on some of the horrible reviews..I thought this bottle of Gold68 might be as bitter as Alum based on some of the reviews. NOT! It\'s called \"GOLD\" for a reason...SMOOTH! I have a very warm and happy feeling right now.. I\'m laughing and smiling as I\'m composing this review. Thank you, Alandia for making a Great tasting product as well as a Strong product! I give it 5 Stars!

This is very much an acquired taste and I have acquired it. My first glass tasted very harsh, however after my third (not in the same sitting) it has grown on me. I prefer 2 sugars and bit more water than with other absinthes becase it is a bit bitter but that\'s just my taste. The \"effect\" is there and it also, to me, has a \"tart\" taste to it. If you have the extra money and want to try something different you should give this a try.
