3 shots in i peek my head outside for a breath of air, icy and full of winter just to see the world in a more lucid sense ,all primary colors swell before me and my love for a world that could be? more evident .I feel good and cant believe a drink can amplify such good effects, I\'ve only a half bottle left and i feel like i want to keep it very safe . This is the second time I\'ve ever had absinthe and gold 68 was bought with the idea of no aniseed because of the people that would drink it with ,this device the amazing liquid all i feel is i need more, his has got something no other drink has, i have found my drink of choice and going back to normal spirits will be hard and very boring. The drink in a format of 1 shot absinthe 3 shots water 2 sugar cubes, is fine not bitter but very interesting i tried ginger ale raspberry and apple lovely but i returned to gold 68 .Thank you Alandia for this privilege ! I cant wait to try more and see what art happens with this muse . One last thing maybe go easy on the first try hangover is brutal.

Ok...this is my very First Absinthe. I do not like Nyquil or Anise nor Licorice. So..this is the reason I chose the Gold68. I don\'t know what everyone is complaining about..it is NOT bitter at ALL. I put 2 sugar cubes on the slotted spoon as directed and poured water in the large goblet..it still had a little anise taste but not bad. It was so good I had a second glass! Funny.. I don\'t even drink beer and I live in the Pacific Northwest, Oregon to be specific! WOW.. I am on my second glass and it\'s 2oclock in the afternoon! LOL! I am SO happy! Haa-haa! I KNOW I should have ordered 3 bottles instead of 1, but based on some of the horrible reviews..I thought this bottle of Gold68 might be as bitter as Alum based on some of the reviews. NOT! It\'s called \"GOLD\" for a reason...SMOOTH! I have a very warm and happy feeling right now.. I\'m laughing and smiling as I\'m composing this review. Thank you, Alandia for making a Great tasting product as well as a Strong product! I give it 5 Stars!

This is very much an acquired taste and I have acquired it. My first glass tasted very harsh, however after my third (not in the same sitting) it has grown on me. I prefer 2 sugars and bit more water than with other absinthes becase it is a bit bitter but that\'s just my taste. The \"effect\" is there and it also, to me, has a \"tart\" taste to it. If you have the extra money and want to try something different you should give this a try.

It's a nice drink, it has a quality finish and an acquired taste. But, and maybe this is just me, it doesn't really feel like you're drinking absinthe.

Not very pleased with this one. I bought Gold68 purposely because it claims to "skipped the anise". I my opinion it had a strong licorice flavor, and strong alcohol taste. Very low louche effect. Try something else if you don't want that licorice taste and want a more authentic absinthe experience.
