I have to agree with the past 2 reviews. I'm not very good with words, but this stuff is excellent!!! Read the past 2 reviews and then do yourself a favor and buy a bottle. Enough said

This stuff blooms with an earthy array of flavor. From the moment you pop the cork and take a whiff to the second the last drop makes its way down it is definitely a pleasure. It is a bit strong, hence being in the strong category. If I were to compare it to something someone who has never had the pleasure of drinking such an exquisite elixir as this; I would say that the flavor is reminiscent of a piece of mentholated liquorices candy, pleasant to say the least. The "absinthe effect" is a bit mild but none the less note worthy. I may just have to try a bit more!!

Review:
I purchased this absinthe at around the same time as Jade's Nouvelle Orleans, and interestingly enough they're very similar in their basic taste (a caramel or light chocolate flavour floating above the anise). The Partisane Vintage 2004's nose is light and somewhat alcoholic, giving little indication of the rich, full earthiness of the liqueur's palate. The finish is simple and disappointing to a small degree as compared to the long-lingering flowery notes of the Jade, but only in that comparison (and I got the Jade for 83 Euro as opposed to 49 Euro for this, so that's not a terrible let-down at all). This and a slight lack of subtlety are the only negative things I can say about this delightful drink.
