Well, this is actually for this one's counterpart the Red (Iwill never open the 85% Black) which seems to be only available in the "Sock Off Knocker" set. The Red is good, it has a bit of a Grenadine taste. The alccohol is not so over whelming that it is not enjoyable. It does not fit the traditional idea of Absinthe in that it is not green and does not taste of Anise, but it does louche. Which surprised the heck out of me. It looks like an orange cream sicle when cold water is added. The effect? well, I can't be certain. I had 2 glasses of Strong 68 and 2 glasses of King of Spirits before I convinced myself to pop the cork on this one. It tastes good. Depending on how comitted you are to the "World of Absnthe" this one is either worth trying or not. Bottem line- it's ok.

Awesome! Gives same kind of effect as Green Chartreuse, but last longer.

Review:
This absinthe is incredibly palatable, considering its very high alcohol content. Instead of tasting overly alcoholic, it just has a very stout, full flavour. Anise dominates, though that is not to say the flavour is simple. Upon the addition of icewater Jacques Senaux Black louches a dark ash-grey with a purple tinge. This one is definitely going to become a habit.
