This is the second bottle of Vintage Pernod we offer for sale. It is from the Tarragona distillery in Spain. After the big burning of the Pernod distillery in Pontarlier in the year 1901 a second plant was build up in Tarragona, Spain. Absinthe was never forbidden in Spain, therefore Pernod was able to keep up the production until the late 1950ies. The original french recipes were remained, therefore the content of this bottle is the answer to the big question: How did original absinthe taste like...?
NOTE: The seal of the bottle is damaged, therefore we corked it with a usual wine cork. In the inside of the bottles you can see the original cork of the bottle, which fell into the Absinthe, when we tried to uncork the bottle. We guarantee that the content is the original one. The filling level is still the same, but it is a bit lower as some absinthe has gone off in the last 90 years. We recommend to fill the Absinthe into a new bottle, to avoid a negative cork smack.
