Too much bitter for my taste, very poor louche, I tried to drink it in differents ways, with the traditional method( 1/2 sugar cubes), czech method and still was to bitter, so finally I mixed with lemonade, and I hope finish it soon, I give it 2 stars because I the bottle is damm right, BITTER, so for the bitter lovers I think will be a good choice if you expect something more enjoyable, taste herbs combination, etc. this is not for you.

Wonderful Absinthe. I always prefer the higher wormwood content and the accompanying bitter taste. This recipe has the strong wormwood effect without the bitter flavor being unpleasant. There is a taste of spinach, lemon, subtle mint and cedar. It produces a rather thin louche as the anise does not appear to be concentrated in the recipe. Over all a very well done Absinthe. I give it five stars because of the wonderful mix of flavors and the strong wormwood effect.

My wife ordered this as a surprise gift for me & what a surprise. A little hidden gem this, it has a nice Anise/liquorice taste, no overpowering but just right & due to its low 55% alcohol is very palatable indeed, crisp yet warming. It reminds me of a variant of Absinthe Amer, a simplistic smooth flavour at first then its complexity is released as you sip away at it. But it’s got a taste experience I can only describe as “Transparent mist” if drunk neat the taste dissipates in such a wonderful light way. The lower alcohol level has given this absinthe a much sweeter flavour. Bouquet is very difficult to describe, a slight hint of “Chemical rubber” amongst other delights. The colour is beautiful glassy green, reminds me of Absinthe Amer with a more distinct green than the pale brown. Overall an incredible Absinthe that wins you over within the first taste, if you didn’t know you would have thought it another French masterpiece. The Czech Republic have entered the Absinthe arena with something very subtle & worthy of the price. This Absinthe doesn’t try too hard to be anything but itself, an honest Absinthe. Recommended for those who are new to Absinthe.

This Absinthe is a new welcome I must say.I was expecting a very bitter taste and to my surprise,It isn't very bitter. No worries people. Made by a reputable Czech distillery, this Absinthe doesn't skimp on using the traditional recipe and the original green colour is very distinctive. Smooth and very enjoyable,I recommend this Absinthe with cold, filtered water and a one teaspoon of (preferably) pure sugarcane sugar.Unrefined. I will take this opportunity to boast a little about my sugar, because living in Barbados I use the best sugar in the world with the best Absinthes ! Cheers ! M.F.
