I have tried quite a few absinthes and none have moved me enough to write a review until now, so in one word i would describe this particular absinthe as QUALITY! I would also like to take this opportunity to say that Alanida is probally the best site for your rendezvous with Die Grune Fee. Believe me i'm a fussy cow so it must be the excellent!

I tasted this strait before louching. I was wonderfully surprised at how smooth and flavorful this Absinthe is. I could tell this is a sign of a well made liquor (meaning the distiller has made the "Cuts" at the correct time to remove the unpleasant volatiles). A thick louche that starts as a wonderful gold/honey color and transforms into a crystal/shimmering honey color to finish as a thick gold/cream color. Anise flavor is obvious but not overpowering. The higher alcohol content does not hit you on the palate. the other flavors are very well balanced into the total mix. This will be a part of my permanent collection of Absinthe. I highly recommend this to every Absinthure!

A very wonderful treat. Not too much anise flavor but wonderful louche. Very wonderful effect. Not overwhelming with different flavors but a very nice meld. Will be restocking.

Great product. Not to familiar with Absinth, only tried Lucid brand which I know is not even close to being the real thing. But I can tell you that this stuff is so smooth it's crazy, with only a slight licorice flavor which goes away quickly. A much better feeling, not just some invented knock off of the real thing. A must try!

I’ve just received my third bottle. I ordered Absinthe Amer & my wife surprised me with Absinthe Bairnsfather Bitter, both arrived very quickly. Thanks Alandia for one of the best online services this side of the green fairy! I've written two reviews for this great Absinthe so i'll not go on. However if you’re new to Absinthe then Absinthe Amer is a great way to start, a French masterpiece. Vive la France.

I am not an expert, however I know what I like and after trying 5 different Absinthe's from different companies I have gone back to Amer 72. What I really like is that this has a wonderful middle of the road taste. Too many others are too herby, woody. This one has a great light headiness and yet doesn't taste like engine cleaner. Once you try this one you'll love it. Others may be more "out there" others may be more "like the original Absinthe of old". However, with Amer 72 you get a really good taste, a good feeling and above all you'll miss it once the bottle has run out. Hence I just had to buy two more from Alandia (and they deliver on time too !). Can't say enough to be honest. This one will always be my reference point ...
