I happen to love this absinthe. This is the 8th one I've tried and really enjoyed it. True, the louche is not as milky as others, but the taste is amazing. You really don't even need sugar with it. The anise taste is simple and light and fresh. The smell is the same. The louche is more clear than cloudy and it's a lovely very pale teal/green color. This is a very good absinthe for beginners to taste and understand the basic flavor involved in absinthe. Perhaps it does not have the highest level of wormwood, but you still will get a nice feeling off this absinthe. And the price is nice for such a large bottle. I had a group of 4 beginners over last night and they all thoroughly enjoyed this one. I would buy it again just to have for absinthe on the rocks.

Of the French absinthes I have only tried the Lemercier Amer and the Francois Guy, and I do not think that this is a very good quality. The louce is quite weak and the "effect" isn't as noticable - the alcohol wears me out too quickly. The flavors aren't as strong or rich as the others mentioned above which may make it a good introductory absinthe. I also found this site after I purchased: http://www.absinth-bibel.de/ad/huguet.html My german isn't that good, but from what I gather it seems like this is made from oils that are added to an alcohol and bottled in Berlin. I think that the description on the Alandia site should mention this. i would compare it more to a Hills, but not as nasty. I won't be buying any more of these.

I'm giving this a 4 star only because this is my first real absinthe drink and I have nothing else to compare it to except for maybe Pernod. Overall it tastes better than Pernod and is actually quite tasty! To my taste buds it's quite smooth and balanced and goes down easy mixed with water. At 68% alcohol this drink will get you buzzed quite quik using very little which means a full 1 liter bottle like this will last for quite some time. And for the price it's definitely well worth having this on hand. As for Alandia, I must say the service was excellent to the U.S. and it arrived in the timeline they said it would which is just about 9 days. Thanks Alandia!

A very Nice Absinthe! I find that it's one of the most tipical absinthes that i've tried... It isn't something of special, but it is really good...The alcool lavel is perfect, the louche too... Taste Normal, not bitter and fresh in the finish...i think that if you wanna try a traditional Absinthe this one is perfect and the price is very convenient! 1liter per 30¤!

This is indeed a very bold absinthe. The flavor is strong, refreshing, and straightforward. Clean finish, great louche and effects; and the full liter at only 30 euros should place this as a staple in any absintheurs collection! Highly recommeded!
