Some US Absintheurs might know Absinthe Kubler from their local liquor store. Kubler was one of the first Absinthes that could be bought after Absinthe legalisation in 2007. But this one is not the modified US version, it is the Swiss original. Learn More
Absinthe La Loulette is distilled on a farm near the French-Swiss border, located in the small town Les Fourges. All botanicals appart from anise seed are cultivated on the farm own land. This gives maximum control over cultivation, which guarantees premium quality. La Loulette has less alcohol, therefore it is perfect as an aperitif. Learn More
AT this price point I can't find another absinthe I like more. This one becomes almost creamy once it has opened up in the water. Super smooth, so enjoyable. More and more I am digging the swiss bleue absinthes.
Wow!! This was my first experience with absinthe, but it won't be my last. Great experience!! I will be ordering again....just don't know if I should get another bottle of Suisse La Bleue or try something different. Will probably do both and order 2 bottles next time!! Thank you Alandia!!!
This is the second best Absinthe that I have ever had. The color, smell, taste, etc. all excellent. One doesn\'t even need sugar for this one.
The only Absinthe that beats this on is the Swiss Green. Unfortunately, because of the stupid laws where I live, this cannot be imported because it is 72% alcohol which exceeds the limit by 2%. Oh well, I guess the politicians know what\'s best for us don\'t they.
After many other experimental purchases from Alandia, in my opinion, this one is still the best flavored Absinthe. So crisp and clean when traditionally mixed with ice water and sugar cubes. I highly recommend this La Bleue as a starting point to anyone who is new to Absinthe and not sure what to purchase.
This was my first time trying a Bleue and I gotta say I liked it. Very similar to the traditional absinthes and had a very smooth herbal flavor to it. Louche was great, going from a clear to a milky white.
I tried this bottle making mojitos for a party
2 shots of Absinthe
1 can of Sprite / Squirt (Citrus Soda)
1 splash of lemon / lime juice
1 cup of crushed mint leaves
+ optional (sugar)
After reading a lot about the \"bitter\" taste and different ways to cover it, i was both suprised and pleased with the flavor. I mixed it with ice water and a single sugar cube, but the sugar cube probably could have been left out. The effects after one glass was subtle, but definate. This was my first experience with Absinthe and it is a very nice way to start. I will recommend it to my friends!
This is still my Favorite over the last 10 years! I am always so glad that when I return there it is waiting for me.
This is so smooth that I find it needs no sugar what so ever and is delightful to the palate, a treat.
I cannot believe some of the reviews that thought it not even drinkable- too bad for them, more for us! Cheers!!!
I find that tasting several absinthes at the same time gives me a better perspective on differentiating the flavours. La Bleue could easily be called: Chocolate. Although I prefer mine with a louche, it is the only one of the three sold in the set with Heritage and Moulin Vert, that I can comfortably drink neat and undiluted.. when compared to the other two bitters. I have tried the "Belle Epoch La Bleu" and this is far superior in taste and smoothness. Prepared in the traditional way, this is one of my farorites.
