Buy Absinthe Carafes
For the "Heure Verte", the green hour, you need Absinthe, a sugar cube and ice-cold water to create the magic opalescent louche, the visual effect when the green spirit turns milky white as soon as it blends with water. Using a traditional Absinthe water carafe is a practical and authentic way of serving the Green Fairy. The water dispenser helps you to prepare your glass of the green liquor in perfect manner. In this section of our store you can choose from different carafe designs.
Absinthe Carafes, which one should I buy?
If you look for functionality, design and quality we recommend to buy the ALANDIA Absinthe Carafe. We produced it to optimize the making of an Absinthe. We were simply not satisfied with the carafes available on the market so far. Because they often have a much too small opening, so that one cannot fill it with ice cubes. This is especially important for the preparation of a glass of Absinthe. Only then the water is really cold to guarantee a nice cloudiness of the Absinthe once it blends with water. And of course cold water optimize the taste of your Absinthe.
Another beautiful historical Absinthe carafe is the Portieux carafe. With its two openings it has an extraordinary design. It allows a slow pouring of the water in the form of a thin beam. This leads to a particularly intense turbulence of the Absinthe in the glass and thus also guarantees an intense louche of the drink. If you like unlabeled carafes you can also have a look at the Fleur de Lys design. But have in mind, this carafe is made of pressed glass, therefore it has a manufacturer seam. If you want a carafe withouth this seam, you have to buy the aforementioned ALANDIA carafe. Of course, all of the water dispensers can as well be used to serve water without actually drinking Absinthe.
